Attractions Maintenance Technician with 5+ Years Experience

Morey’s Piers is seeking Attractions Maintenance Technicians with 5+ Years' Experience to join our Team. This fast-paced environment provides individuals the opportunity to assist in the overall maintenance and repair of assigned rides, games, water parks, and support equipment. The position requires attention to detail in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our amusement equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, daily inspections and all other preventative maintenance inspections for assigned equipment. A competitive hourly pay rate & comprehensive benefits package is offered.

 Candidates should possess the following qualities:

  • Mechanically or electrically inclined.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical systems.
  • Ability to complete tasks using a computer or tablet.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred.
  • Understanding of industrial maintenance and safety.
  • Ability to read & interpret blueprints & schematics.
  • Ability to work independently & in a team environment.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities & maintain confidentiality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment.

Physical requirements include working at heights of up to 50’; lifting equipment and other items up to 50lbs., unassisted; able to climb stairs and work at varied elevations including rooftops; able to perform physical work including standing, walking, crawling, pushing, bending, and stooping; able to work in varying weather (rain, wind, cold temperatures, direct sunlight or high heat and humidity.

HVAC/Refrigeration Technician

The Morey Organization is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of HVAC/Refrigeration Systems Technician. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: processing and completing work orders; installing new refrigeration and commercial HVAC equipment systems; troubleshooting mechanical failures and performing equipment maintenance on all HVAC and refrigeration equipment; and advising on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.

Minimum technical requirements include:

  • HVAC Certification/Universal EPA Certification for refrigerants.
  • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
  • 5-10 years of previous experience as a HVAC/Refrigeration Technician is preferred.
  • Braising and soldering skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, compliance schematics, and work plans.
  • Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills, including fixing defective/broken products and ordering replacement parts.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools to identify issues, evaluate the information, and problem solve.
  • Strong math skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Demonstrates initiative, confidence, maturity, and good judgment.
  • A positive attitude and guest friendly mentality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical requirements include working in confined spaces; lifting equipment and other items up to 75lbs., unassisted; able to climb stairs and work at varied elevations including rooftops; able to perform physical work including standing, walking, crawling, pushing, bending, and stooping; able to work in varying weather (rain, wind, cold temperatures, direct sunlight or high heat and humidity.

Painter

Morey's Piers is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Painter in our Facilities Maintenance Department. This individual will be responsible for industrial and commercial painting of buildings, rides, games, water parks, food, and housing areas as required. Completion of projects in a timely manner is a must for this role and will include sanding, chipping, and removal of old paint as well as painting.

Candidates should possess the following qualities: minimum 5 years’ painting experience is preferred; familiarity with small hand tools such as hand grinders and sanders; team oriented; able to work in a high intensity environment; excellent organizational, interpersonal and guest skills; able to communicate & follow directions both written & verbally in English; detail oriented and able to multi-task; computer literate; ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; climb ladders, stairs and catwalks to work at heights over 50 ft.; able to push, pull or lift up to 75 lbs. and stand/walk up to 12 hours at a time.
